Queue Edit

When creating or editing a Queue, the user is presented with a page for configuration.   

 

Roster information

In version 6, the Project Roster is maintained with this section of the Queue Edit page.  Prior to version 6, the Roster was maintained with Invite/Manage Members.

Queues all have a Roster, or membership list, that is maintained on the Edit page.

Role: There are 4 options for Role:

Resource Type: This field can be set to either Salaried Employee, Internal Consultant, or External Consultant.   

Active/Inactive: Each user's My Queues folder shows a list of open queues which include that user as an active member of the roster.   If a user is made inactive, the queue will no longer appear in the My Queues folder and tickets cannot be assigned to that user.  

 

How to add members to the roster

  1. Right click on the Queue and select Edit from the pop-up menu.

  2. Select a resource in the Select a User drop-down.

  3. Click the Add button.  

  4. Set at user's role, resource type, status, and rates.

  5. Save your changes.

 

How to temporarily remove members from the roster

  1. Right click on the Queue and select Edit from the pop-up menu.

  2. Locate those users in the Roster list and change their status to Inactive.

  3. Save your changes.

 

How to permanently remove members from the roster

  1. Right click on the Queue and select Edit from the pop-up menu.

  2. Click the Remove checkbox beside the name of the member(s) you wish to remove.  

  3. Save your changes.

 

How to configuring the queue drop-down options

Tickets within the queue have a list of options for fields such as Product, Location, and Next Step.  These options are taken directly from the System Administration tables, but a sub-set can be identified for each queue by using this option.

  1. Right click on the Queue and select Edit from the pop-up menu.

  2. Use the Code Table drop-down to select the table you wish to configure.

  3. The master list will be presented.  Ensure the Active checkbox is selected for each option you wish to have available within the queue.

  4. Save your changes.
