If your system is configured to use Contacts from TeamHeadquarters,
new
Contacts can be imported from an external file (see
below for details).
Right-click on
Contacts folder (located
under
Workspaces -
Domain).
Select Import.
Browse to select the import file.
Click Save.
The import process does not detect duplicate contacts. To avoid duplication of contacts, only import new contacts into TeamHeadquarters.
If importing from MS Outlook:
In MS Outlook, select “File”, “Import and Export”, “Export to a File”, click “Next”, and then under “Create a file of type” select “Microsoft Access”, click “Next”, under “Select folder to export from” select Contacts and then click “Next”, under “Save exported file as” select a name and location for the file and then click “Next” followed by “Finish”.
If importing from any other application:
The import file must be a MSAccess .mdb file and the data table within must be named “Contacts”
The following characters are not allowed in Contact Names: \ /:*?"<>| These characters will be replaced by an underscore ('_') when encountered through the import process.
The following fields must be present in the Contacts table structure for the import to process correctly:
