TeamHeadquarters offers powerful search capabilities. You can search for information across the entire database, or search from within a particular point within the data hierarchy. As well, you can further refine your search requirements by date/time last modified, word/phrase, or by object type(s). Content from Microsoft Word and Excel documents may also be returned in search results.
From the pull-down menu in the right frame.
On all right-click pop-up menus.
By clicking the Advanced Search link on the basic search dialogue.
By clicking the Advanced Search on any project menu.
Enter the search word or phrase as indicated at the top of the dialogue. Note the instructions at the bottom of the Advanced Search dialogue for wild card and boolean searching.
Set the applicable date/time range for when the object was last modified.
Select the Requested Object Types via the pull-down menu.
If Search only within parent is selected, the search will be conducted only within the currently selected database object.
The database will be searched for an exact match on the text you enter. Wildcard searches can be done by placing double quotes around your text and using a * at the end of the word (e.g. "print*" will bring back results for print, printer, printing, print-ready, etc.).
The keywords AND, OR, and NEAR can be used.
AND refines the search results by looking for the presence of the words before and after AND.
OR expands the search results by looking for either of the words before and after the OR.
NEAR behaves like AND, but further refines the search results by only returning results where the search words are close together in the same document.
